Sahara Yuva Club Advance After Thrilling Penalty Shoot-out in Match No. 4

Match No. 4 of the Badri-Kunta Memorial District Level U-16 Smart Generation Football Championship 2026 turned into a dramatic contest as Sahara Yuva Club, Ghodaghodi defeated Shree Hariyali Yuva Club, Joshipur 2–4 on penalty shoot-out after the match ended 1–1 at full time.

Shree Hariyali Yuva Club took the lead in the 25th minute through Arvind Dangaura, who capitalized on an attacking move to put his team ahead. Sahara Yuva Club responded with persistence and finally found the equalizer in the 79th minute, when Dipendra Shahi scored to level the match.

With no further goals in regulation time, the match proceeded to a penalty shoot-out. Substitute goalkeeper Anil Nepali of Sahara Yuva Club emerged as the hero, brilliantly stopping two penalties, which proved decisive in securing the 4–2 shoot-out victory for his side. His outstanding contribution earned him the Man of the Match award.

Following this hard-fought win, Sahara Yuva Club, Ghodaghodi advanced to the next round and will face Binita Smriti Youth Club, Mohanyal in their next match on Poush 23, 2082 at 1:00 PM.
